The newest segment of the beloved STARZ Network Spartacus series is coming out soon — Spartacus: Vengeance. The release date is near and with all the wonderment about the new star Liam McIntyre taking the spot of the beloved Andy Whitfield, who unfortunately died from cancer, people will get to see how he takes on the new lead role of Spartacus. As per the websites synopsis of this new series:
“On the heels of the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”, the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic in “Spartacus: Vengeance”. Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage. Spartacus is presented the choice of satisfying his personal need for vengeance against the man that condemned his wife to slavery and eventual death or making the larger sacrifices necessary to keep his budding army from breaking apart. Containing all of the blood-soaked action, exotic sexuality, and villainy and heroism that has come to distinguish the series, the tale of Spartacus resumes in epic fashion.

New Captain Planet Live Action Movie

Though not related to Spartacus, there have been talks about a Captain Planet Movie release date is not available, but will likely be released some time in 2012.
It is NOT going to be cartoon like the old cartoon series – Captain Planet and the Planeteers. Instead, they decided that they were going to go a different route so that it’s a Captain Planet live-action movie instead. Regardless, it should be interesting and action packed. I’ll be seeing it when it comes out and so should you!
Spartacus Season 2 Name as – Spartacus: Vengeance

Season 2 of Spartacus: Blood and Sand has been named / renamed to “Spartacus: Vengeance” and is likely to have a release date in January 2012. There will be new faces to this season and some replacements for already set characters / actors. For example, other than Spartacus himself (Andy Whitfield) being replaced with Liam McIntyre, Lesley-Ann Brandt (Naevia) is also leaving — being replaced by the actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson.
Though these characters or actors / actresses will be missed, season 2 is sure to be fantastic.
